I want to share a sweet story about one of my students at CADI in Aguas Buenas, a tutoring center I work for. I have a plus size student who hated to be photographed. She had very low self-esteem because of her weight. Students can be cruel and they teased her.
One day I went to the center and found my student crying because other girls were telling her she was ugly because of her weight. This made me so sad. I took her aside and talked to her. I told her Ana’s story about how she's plus and all the good things that happened to her. She stopped crying and was so happy to know PLUS is beautiful!
Happy to say she loves to be photographed now. She comes to the center with bows in her hair, she smells like roses and what I love most is her beautiful smile. When I take pics, she is the first one in front of the camera. I met her mother and she told me that her daughter has changed so much. This made me feel so good! Being a plus teenager can be difficult. This is why we have to make them aware they have to accept themselves the way they are, although they can change eating habits and exercise to be healthier. Vic Ram Riv ...Me encanto...no entiendo mucho ingles, asi que use una ayudita del google traductor y pues si comprendi y senti la esencia del articulo...Ser un joven hoy en dia, no es nada facil, hay tantos cambios sucediendo a su alrededor, en sus vi ...das e incluso en su interior, su fisico y hasta su forma de pensar, pues tiene que ir madurando y asimilando todos esos cambios en su vida, los cuales aveces van demaciado a prisa...
ReplyDeletePara algunos, la vida, por decirlo asi, les sonries, para otros es un poco mas dificil asimilar estos cambios, mucho mas viviendo en estos tiempos, donde la sociedad se crea unos estereotipos de personalidades y tratan de encajonarte hacia uno de ellos.
Muchas veces los jovenes no tienen otra opcion que seguir ese patron, sin embargo otros se atreven a seguir mas adelante, a buscar nuevos senderos con los cuales se puedan identificar y sentir bien...Esta sociedad juzga mucho, pero a la misma ves se muestran solidarios en ocacions...es un sube y baja.....
Este mundo necesita mucho amor, atencion, comprension y sobre todo necesita de Dios...Cada granito de arena de las persona puedan aportar para hacer que otras personas se sientan bien consigomismas, es un logro, un pequeño milagro, que le ayudara a abrirse puertas y a procurar buscar la felicidad, aceptandose tal cual es....
Dios nos hizo a su imagen y semejansa...pero a la ves nos hizo diferentes a cada uno de nosotros, con el proposito de que seamos nosotros mismos no una copia o sombra de alguien mas...vivamos tal cual somos, felices de ser como somos y de haber sido parte de esta hermosa y divina creacion...
